Career guidance – start your career with us!

On 23 May 2022, we were guests at the career orientation day at the Sängerstadt-Gymnasium in Finsterwalde. We were particularly pleased that the pupils showed a keen interest in us as a company and in our activities and training and study opportunities.

# The preparations
Before we could take part in the career orientation day, we had to prepare a bit. What will we take with us? How will we introduce ourselves and who will come with us? What are the local conditions like? Without further ado, we discussed the matter and set everything in motion. Flyers were printed, information folders were put together.

# The start of the career orientation day
On Monday morning, the time had come. When we arrived on site, the first thing we did was to get a quick overview and immediately started setting up the stand. Little by little, the hall filled up with other companies from the region and familiar faces. Everyone was in a good mood and eager to exchange ideas with the students. Around 11 am, the modest silence suddenly changed and the volume in the hall increased somewhat - the first students conquered the stands and showed great interest. We were about halfway round the hall and thus had some opportunity to observe the hustle and bustle for a while. Before long, however, there was also a lot going on at our stand.

# The conversations
We held lively discussions with the students and had many friendly conversations. Our young colleagues from the various construction site professions shared de-tails from their everyday life at work, vocational school and university and were able to give the pupils a better understanding of working life.

# The graduation
After the students slowly left the exhibition stands and made their way to numerous workshops, we all reviewed the day and exchanged our impressions. Afterwards, we gradually packed up our seven things, dismantled our stand and loaded it into our vehicles before heading back to Zeckerin to unload.
