On 07 October 2022, the evening before the MATCH training fair, the Training Star 2022 was chosen for the 13th time in a row in Finsterwalde. This award honours companies that have made a special effort and commitment to maintaining and creating apprenticeship places in the district of Elbe-Elster (Brandenburg).
# We are winners
Thanks to our commitment and our excellent training quality, we were able to stand out alongside 8 other nominated companies and were chosen as Training Star 2022. We are very happy about this recognition, as it is a fantastic feedback to our daily work. We see our activities in the areas of training and development of our employees as a matter of course, which is why we also constantly invest in our working tools and equipment. We want people to enjoy working for us, because this leads to satisfaction and commitment on the part of our staff and, in turn, to the success of the company. With the commitment and dedication of all employees, we were able to achieve this quality of training, for which all colleagues deserve special thanks.
A jury chaired by the district administrator and consisting of representatives of local authorities, networks, chambers and other institutions assessed, among other things, the consistency and diversity of the training, as well as its implementation and the support provided to the learners by the companies. The companies’ commitment to attracting apprentices, students and skilled workers was also included in the vote.
# Excellent training quality
We train in 5 occupational fields and the field of study civil engineering. Technical apprenticeships in the fields of sewer construction, civil engineering and pipeline construction, concrete and reinforced concrete construction and the operation of construction equipment can be learned with us. In administration, we train office management assistants. In addition, we accompany and support students of civil engineering on their way to a successful degree, either in a dual system (with integrated practical phases) or via full-time studies and student traineeships.
We attach great importance to modern and safe work equipment and provide our trainees with work clothes, tools and teaching materials. The same applies to our students – not only during the practical phases, but also when they are at university. Company communication can take place via a company mobile phone with its own e-mail address, which we also use for regular health and safety training. A knowledge database can also be accessed as an app and enables information to be obtained at short notice for questions about occupational safety, technical equipment and procedures. Due to our versatile, demanding and exciting fields of activity, we can cover a broad spectrum of knowledge transfer and thus enable a varied training period. Already during the training phase, additional qualifications are possible for the apprentices. In this way, we can best prepare our colleagues of tomorrow for a good start in their professional lives, where they will find very good development opportunities for their careers. Experienced and qualified trainers and staff are available during the training period, but also afterwards, to give advice and help with new topics. It is particularly important for us to be open to any difficulties or problems that may arise.
# Congratulations
In addition to us, the Elbe-Elster agricultural training network, represented by the Werenzhain eG agricultural cooperative, received a special prize at this year’s event, and we would like to congratulate them on this honour.
